Stay Informed

Our primary means of communication is through our Facebook page. Beyond that, we meet approximately once a month to discuss our roadmap. These meetings are open to all and usually take place at Panera on 4th St at 7:30pm (exact dates and times are always posted on our Facebook Page). If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. You may also find relevant information on the North Shore Elementary site or on their Twitter feed.

Volunteer at the School

North Shore Elementary students showing thier appreciation.

There are plenty of ways to get involved at North Shore Elementary. We encourage all parents to attend PTA meetings and share their thoughts. Additionally, community members are welcome to join the Student Advisory Council and lend their expertise. As for traditional volunteering, the school is actively looking for help in areas like mentoring, lunch room supervision, tutoring and front office support. To volunteer on campus, you must fill out paperwork with Mrs. Gervais, the Community Liaison which includes a background check.

Please contact Ms. Valerie Gervais gervaisv@pcsb.org 727-893-2181 for more information about how to get involved directly with North Shore!

Our son James entered North Shore in first grade and we couldn't be more excited. Having tried a private school, we find that there are a lot of advantages to attending a public school in our neighborhood. The proximity and ability to connect with other local families is important. We've found that North Shore has more resources to address the differing rates of learning in young children and the gifted and music programs were a major factor in choosing our neighborhood school. We look forward to watching James and his younger sister Anna grow at North Shore.

About North Shore

First established as Coffee Pot Elementary in 1927.

North Shore Elementary is a red brick school shaded by century-old oak trees, located at the north end of Coffee Pot Bayou in a quiet residential setting. It is rich in history and tradition but is also moving forward to prepare its students for the future. Come have a look at our neighborhood gem and meet the faculty and staff, schedule a tour, or learn about the family experience.

What sort of renovations are happening at North Shore? North Shore Elementary completed the first phase of a campus renovation in the summer of 2017 in which the school entrance (on 35th Avenue NE), front office, main hallway and the fireplace room were renovated.
